A Good Night's Sleep

"From the hundreds of people I’ve spoken with in Windsor, Old Windsor, Clewer, Datchet, Colnbrook and Poyle it seems I am not the only one agitated with interrupted sleep.

Living directly under the flight path, we accept our noisy neighbour Heathrow for the benefits it brings, but to ruin our quality of life unnecessarily is unacceptable.

Research is always wise. I have already discovered that the current Government overturned a European court ruling that banned night flights; So much for their pro EU credentials!

Yet again the local Liberals are playing a cunning talking game by appointing an Old Windsor resident as their representative with no personal interest in revoking Cranford.

They also seem to be using our council tax money to fund their political campaigning through council posts – is there a legal case to answer here?

And why do they refuse research into the effects of aircraft noise, whilst actively campaigning to change the pattern of aircraft noise? It doesn’t add up.

I will work campaign energetically to reduce night flights. But stop the Liberals threatening the peace of people currently unaffected in Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale.

I love my fourth floor home in central Windsor, but we could all do with a good night’s sleep."
