Additional Costs Allowance - this is the 'second home allowance' intended to help MPs pay for accommodation and subsistence when they are away from home on parliamentary duties
London Supplement - this sum of £2,916 is paid to MPs whose constituencies are in Inner London as they are not allowed to claim Additional Costs Allowance
Incidental Expenses Provision - this helps pay for additional research, official staff training, premises used for constituency surgeries and support staff in the constituency
Staffing Allowance - this is the salary cost (incl national insurance) for staff employed to assist constituents with their inquiries, conduct research, answer telephones & emails, open post etc.
Communications Allowance - this £10,400 allowance is to help MPs send newsletters to constituents      
Members Travel - travel on parliamentary duties is reimbursed at 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles and 25p thereafter, 24p per mile for motorbikes and 20p for bicycles
Members Staff Travel - pays for up to 24 journeys a year between Parliament and the constituency      
Members Spouse Travel - pays for up to 30 single journeys a year between Parliament and the constituency    
Members Family Travel - pays for up to 30 single journeys a year between Parliament and the constituency for dependent children under 18 and disabled children over 18
Centrally Purchased Stationery - this is the cost of paper to print letters and for pens, envelopes, folders, paperclips etc used in the office.  
Stationery: Associated Postage Costs - the cost of posting responses to constituents' letters.      
Centrally Provided Computer Equipment - this is the cost of computers and printers for staff to print letters and research notes    
Ranking - Adam Afriyie made the 629th lowest expenses claim last year out of 645 MPs and has not claimed for travel, housing, communications or subsistence in any year since he was elected.
